Yes, that works very well. The ink is designed to colour wood or wood-like, i.e. absorbent, surfaces. Repairs to hardboard and chipboard should therefore not be a problem. On smooth plastics we cannot guarantee the durability. The edding furniture marker can only be used to make colour repairs/adjustments. The marker is not suitable for smoothing out/filling damage.
