Yes, that works very well. The ink is designed to colour wood or wood-like, i.e. absorbent, surfaces. Repairs to hardboard and chipboard should therefore not be a problem. Please note that this is only a colour touch-up or adjustment. The edding furniture repair wax set is particularly suitable for smoothing out or filling in damage.
